What is the Canadian Pond Hockey Face Off about?
The Canadian Pond Hockey Face Off is a partnership currently between various community partners and growing: Canadore College, Tranter Office Plus, City of North Bay, Brownlee Graphics and Dawstar Television Productions. Sponsorship was obtained through the generousity of many businesses and individuals in the community.
Participants from all over North America are welcome
As the tournament becomes established, our goal is to have one of the best pond hockey tournaments in Canada. There are four unique aspect of our tournament: the tournament takes place on a ‘real pond’; we have age categories for children; we play 3 on 3 games not 4 on 4; and our games have face offs.
Goals of the tournament.

To celebrate pond hockey as part of our Canadian heritage, returning to the grassroots of the game while enjoying outdoor exercise and team play.

To raise funds for improving local outdoor area rinks and support sporting initiatives throughtout the city and area.
