Canadian Pond Hockey Face-Off
The Third Annual Northern Honda Canadian Pond Hockey Face-Off wrapped up in the afternoon on Playoff Sunday.
The weather was a challenge as teams battled through the freezing rain on the eight rinks on the Education Centre Pond behind Canadore College but the spirit of pond hockey prevailed. In the men’s competitive division Cor Maximus edged CTV 22-15.
Other weekend highlights included an exhibition game Saturday afternoon for the North Bay North Stars Special Needs Hockey game. Before the face-off Canadian Pond Hockey Face-Off organizer Debbie Marson presented the team a $500.00 cheque. more>
